Statistics: in the US, 20% of individuals suffer from severe acne, which can result in permanent physical and mental scarring.

 
Acne vulgarise typically affects the areas of skin with the densest population of sebaceous (oil) follicles, such as: the face, the upper parts of the chest and the back .


Current acne treatment recommend a combination of prescription medications to induce anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects
